I found the panels on the GLBT Historical Society’s Past Events page so moving that I could feel it in my bones. It’s rare to see public speakers being open and honest about the discrimination they face. My personal favorite was the video on Black LGBTQ leadership, which covered points that, as a white person, I’d never faced or considered. Some of the speakers’ testimonies are heart-rending. The final message is clarion clear: none of us are safe until all of us are safe. Every human politically considered a minority is still a human.
Please show the GLBT Historical Society some love: they are doing incredibly important work, and need their voices amplified as much as possible.
