Emmy’s is our go-to place for delivery Chinese, so immersed in our routine that I forget that perhaps people haven’t heard of it. The food is consistently good and the delivery is usually early.
For a long time, their half-Roast Duck was a mainstay for me, and I still think it’s one of the best things on the menu; it’s just hard to finish when you’re the only person in the house who likes it. Enter our collective new favorite menu item: Shredded Duck Fried Rice Noodles. It’s a game changer. All of the smoky flavor I want tempered by reliable, comforting carbs… it’s perfect both fresh and as a standalone breakfast the day after ordering.
Another game changer: their take on my Chinese-food-in-general go-to, ma po tofu, on their menu as Tofu and Hot Sauce. Emmy’s version tastes both lighter and brighter than standard fare, depending not so much on the heat from the added jalapeno bits as their earthy flavor. On our last order, the basil use really stood out to me as well, adding a freshness to the dish that definitely helped elevate it.
Show Emmy’s some love! They’re fantastic.
