I happened to walk into Squat & Gobble on one of the first fully sunny days of this year. When the weather’s right, you can see straight down the hill to the ocean from West Portal – and the weather was right. A summer day in not-quite-summer.
I’m a SoCal native, and the sun put my hometown on my mind. Combine that with a flavorful iced tea and a bright aioli over a fried fish taco, and I might as well have been at home.
